When we want to suggest alternative uses for our little boxes, we take it very seriously and we let our creativity run wild. And that is why we had a great day today preparing this new DIY full of little boxes, colours and geometric shapes.

Today we will take you through the different steps for you to create your own hanging decoration for whatever room you choose: the living room, the study, the kid’s bedroom…

Materials:
- Triangular box
- Diamond-shaped box
- Small wooden sticks
- Hot glue or double-sided tape
- Scissors
- Mini Baker’s twine
Step by step:
1 – Make the indicated folds for each box.
2 – Cut five lengths of thread, 30-40 cm long. Before closing each boxe, thread one of the threads through the inside and tie a knot at each end so it doesn’t come out and can keep the box in place.
3 – Use hot glue or double-sided tape to stick the edges of the triangular box together so you don’t have to close it with the elastic band.
You can secure the diamond-shaped one too, although it isn’t necessary, as it stays together without it.
4 – You must hang three or four little boxes on every thread (5 in total). If you place the boxes at different heights it will give it a more dynamic touch.
5 – Cut two wooden sticks to 40 cm and put them together in the shape of a cross. Fix the union with hot glue and tie another piece of thread on it, so we can hang it from the ceiling when we’re finished.
6 – To finish off, tie four of the strings with their three little boxes to each of the four ends of the cross. Hang the fifth string from the middle of the cross.
Done! Now look for the best place to hang your mobile and enjoy your new colourful decorative element.
