How would you define in 3 words the Sonia Carrasco brand?

Tailoring, knitwear and craftsmanship.

 

 

What is the biggest difficulty of working with recycled and organic materials?

The variety in which we work is more limited. But otherwise there is no difficulty, you work the same as if you were working with other materials.

 

In the world of sustainable fashion, how important is packaging?

The packaging is the first image that the customer receives, so it has to represent the values of the brand at first glance, hence its importance and care in every detail. 

 

 

How do you work to eliminate plastic in your pieces?

We try to avoid using this material, and if we have to use it, we make sure it is post-consumer recycled, since the impact on the planet is much less than using conventional plastic. 

Next steps; where are you headed?

After two years, we have built an inviolable foundation of environmental responsibility in the company, this was something non-negotiable for me, now we are going to attack another problem that I and most of my generation, and the following ones, are living, mental health problems. This struggle is structural to our movement, it is here to stay, as is our environmental commitment, and we will work for it.
