The arrival of a baby is a very special moment. A baby comes loaded with smiles and joy. Both the mum and the baby get lots of presents. But what the parents need most during the first few months after the baby’s arrival are nappies and onesies. The more the better! So let’s get some pretty onesies and, put them into very cool boxes!
To do so we are going to prepare a fun and different pack for the new-born. We can do it in the shades we want: pastel colours or stronger ones. In our case we have chosen a bright shade of yellow in combination with white and purple.
Let’s get to it and make a full colour box!
A super post in collaboration with Esencia Gráfica.
Materials:
- 1 square gift box with a lid (ref: 1504), yellow.
- Hello Baby! letters
- Onesie
- Purple ribbon for bows
- Small stuffed animals
- Scissors
- Knife or box cutter
- Glue
- Double-sided adhesive tape
- Pencil
- White paper
- Cutting mat (to protect the table from cuts)
Step by Step:
- On the white piece of paper draw the message that will go on the box in capital letters with the pencil. In this model we have written “Hello Baby!” If you want to, you can print it and trace it. In this PDF file we have the exact measurement of the rectangle together with the two lower folds of the paper
- Next, we cut out each letter with a knife, box cutter or scissors. We use the cutting mat so as not to damage the table. It’s important to keep the inner parts of the letters: O, B, Y.
- Assemble the box
- With the glue, we stick the letters on the white piece of paper. But before we do so, we must make sure the lower folds of the white piece of paper are properly placed on the side of the box
- We fold the baby’s onesie so it fits inside the box
- We cut a piece of the purple gift ribbon and wrap it around the box. On the top of the box, we tie one of the stuffed animals with the two ends of the ribbon. We then curl the two ends of the ribbon with the scissors
Here is our very practical gift wrapped up in a fun way!
Enjoy yourself decorating our boxes and now, time to pamper the new-born!
