Is it almost your birthday? Is it your kids birthday? Who doesn’t like a birthday party?
Sometimes it’s hard to organize a birthday party at home. To think about food, decoration, table decorations… and then cleaning up. The easiest way is to use throw-away plastic plates and plastic cups. As well as their usual use, they will add a bit of colour to the party. And what do we do with gifts for our guests? And how about the food bowls and snack plates? Reusable fun Little boxes is always a good solution.
At our last birthday party, we used colourful throw-away kitchen utensils for the meal and cute boxes for sweets and snacks for the kids. We used the biscuit boxes with a see-through lid for gift for our guests (with each name written on). Inside we put some sweets and balloons, so they can have fun at home. We also used little popcorn boxes to share on the table where we put crisps, popcorn and sweets to eat at the party.
The best thing about theses cute boxes is that they are so cool that after the party you can reuse them for other things such as: pencil cases, straw holders, photo frames, incense holders, flower pots and an endless number of other uses.
For the moment, we will show you how to decorate the boxes for the party. Let’s go!
A super post made with the collaboration of Esencia Gráfica.
You will need:
- Popcorn box for parties, in different colours (ref.: 2221)
- Biscuit box with a see-trhough lid, in different colours (ref.: 2244)
- Tags with trimmed edges, in different colours and sizes (ref.: I-ES6_10)
- Coloured washi tapes
- Black marker
- Ribbon for bows
- Popcorn and sweets
- Balloons
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
- Glue stick
- Coloured paper, for the bases for the boxes
STEPS FOR: Popcorn snack box for sharing
- First we make the box with the help of the double-sided tape o the glue stick.
- We decorate the outside of the box with washi tape.
- We wrap the box with a ribbon and with the help of some scissors we curl the ends.
- On every trimmed tag we write whatever is in the box: marshmallows in this case. Then we stick the tag on the box and put the sweets in.
STEPS FOR: Biscuit box with sweets for the guests
- First we make the box with the help of the double sided tape o the glue stick.
- We decorate the see-thorugh lid with washi tape.
- We put the sweets and balloons in the box diagonally. Then we close the box with its lid, we wrap the box with a ribbon and with the help of some scissors we curl the ends.
- On every trimmed tag we write the names of all the kids. Then we stick the tags on the ribbon.
And now the only thing we need to do is prepare the table with plates, cups and very colourful knives and forks and a white tablecloth so that the colours really stand out. If we add a bit of colourful confetti to the tablecloth, we will give the table a fun finishing touch.
Happy Birthday!
