Do you like keep your desk tidy at all times? Do you like tiny details? Check today’s DIY dedicated to that corner of your desk.
It’s really important to have a couple of pen and pencil holders, but they’re not ideal for storing USB keys, washi tape, pencil sharpeners, staplers… They fall to the bottom of the holder and aren’t accessible.
This DIY solves this problem in an easy, colourful and fun way: tiny little shelves for little stationary items.
Let’s get down to work!
A super post made with the collaboration of Esencia Gráfica.
Materials:
– Bucket box with a lid for gifts
– Coloured paper
– Scissors
– Hot glue
– Double-sided tape
– Ruler
– Stickers
STEP BY STEP:
- Make a few boxes of each type. In the case of the match boxes you won’t need the lid.
- Place every box facing upwards on a flat surface and place them so they form a grid of sorts.
- Once you have the structure you like, stick all sides with hot glue or double-sided tape.
- Now, measure the inside of every box and cut out pieces of colourful paper the right size. Then, stick every piece on its box with double-sided tape.
- Now we’re going to give the finishing touch to every compartment: you can put washi tape on the edges of the shelves and/or a fun sticker at the bottom.
- Now you can place all your different things on your mini shelf.
If you love being tidy, that’s your new tiny desk shelf ready!
